Areas participating in the pilot program include:

  • Stone Glen neighborhood (Stone Road, Garner Street, Phillips Road, Leggett Lane, Lewis Lane, Beacon Point)
  • Washington Avenue
  • Price Street
  • Ridgewood Manor and Park Drive areas (Ridgewood Manor, Murray, Edison, Audobon, Kilsi, and Park Drive)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Circle
  • Whippoorwill Lane and Mockingbird Road
  • All of Grand Oaks

Recyclables should be place on the curb by 6a.m. on every other Wednesday. 
See the schedule to the right for exact dates.

In the Top Container, put Plastics,
and Aluminum & Steel Cans including
:

  • Soda, water bottles, milk jugs
  • Laundry detergent and bleach containers>
  • Most plastic cleaning containers
  • Food, soup, vegetable cans
  • Soda cans, coffee cans, all beverage cans

Look for one of these two symbols on the bottom of plastic containers:

Discard Tops. Labels do not need to be removed. For health & safety of our workers, please rinse containers & save space by flattening them if you can.

In the Bottom Container, put Mixed Paper & Newspaper including:

  • Junk Mail, Post Cards, Envelopes (plastic windows o.k.)
  • Catalogues, Magazines, Telephone Books
  • Drink Boxes, Cereal Boxes
  • Toilet Paper/Paper Towel Rolls
  • Newspaper (Glossy inserts and coupons o.k.)
Under the Bottom Container put Corrugated Cardboard
  • must be corrugated cardboard
  • must be cut into 4’ x 4’ pieces or smaller
  • staples and labels do not have to be removed
  • NO STYROFOAM
